Read Bio

Ambassador Piotr Wilczek was born in Chorzów, Poland on 26 April 1962. He received his MA, PhD and Habilitation (postdoctoral) degrees from the University of Silesia in Katowice and conducted his postgraduate research/training at the University of Oxford (St Anne’s College), University of East Anglia (The British Centre for Literary Translation) and the University of London (The Warburg Institute). In 2006, he was awarded the title of Professor of Humanities by the President of the Republic of Poland.

Between 2016 and 2021, as Poland’s Ambassador to the United States of America, Ambassador Wilczek was extensively involved in promoting and strengthening transatlantic relations, especially in the areas of defence, energy and trade. In 2020, he received the Amicus Oeconomiae award from the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Poland for his achievements in supporting and protecting the economic interests of Polish enterprises in foreign markets. On 22 December 2021, he was appointed Poland’s Ambassador to the Court of St James’s and began his mission in London on 15 February 2022.

Since August 2019 Agata is Deputy Challenge Director for Digital Security by Design programme. She has been key in the development of this programme, which focuses on hardware-based cyber security innovation. Prior to this Agata was Innovate UK’s Innovation Lead for Digital, specialising in Cyber Security, working with business, academia, and government to fund related research and development that help grow and protect the UK economy. Other major programmes she continues to lead include “Ensuring the Security of Digital Technology at the Periphery”, and the DSIT (Department for Science, Innovation and Technology) funded Cyber Security programme to deliver a key National Cyber Security Strategy initiative: the Cyber Security Academic Startup Accelerator Programme (“CyberASAP”).

 Agata joined Innovate UK in July 2014 as a Lead Technologist for Online Commerce and has over 20 years’ experience of commercial digital activity. She started her career with T-Mobile International in their global Content Team and has worked for a number of innovative content developers and technology companies such as Disney, Capcom, Shazam and Tapjoy.

Sue leads techUK's Technology and Innovation work.

This includes work programmes on cloud, data protection, data analytics, AI, digital ethics, Digital Identity and Internet of Things as well as emerging and transformative technologies and innovation policy. She has been recognised as one of the most influential people in UK tech by Computer Weekly's UKtech50 Longlist and in 2021 was inducted into the Computer Weekly Most Influential Women in UK Tech Hall of Fame. A key influencer in driving forward the data agenda in the UK Sue is co-chair of the UK government's National Data Strategy Forum. As well as being recognised in the UK's Big Data 100 and the Global Top 100 Data Visionaries for 2020 Sue has also been shortlisted for the Milton Keynes Women Leaders Awards and was a judge for the Loebner Prize in AI. In addition to being a regular industry speaker on issues including AI ethics, data protection and cyber security, Sue was recently a judge for the UK Tech 50 and is a regular judge of the annual UK Cloud Awards.

Prior to joining techUK in January 2015 Sue was responsible for Symantec's Government Relations in the UK and Ireland. She has spoken at events including the UK-China Internet Forum in Beijing, UN IGF and European RSA on issues ranging from data usage and privacy, cloud computing and online child safety. Before joining Symantec, Sue was senior policy advisor at the Confederation of British Industry (CBI). Sue has an BA degree on History and American Studies from Leeds University and a Masters Degree on International Relations and Diplomacy from the University of Birmingham. Sue is a keen sportswoman and in 2016 achieved a lifelong ambition to swim the English Channel.

Karol is a career dyplomat and civil servant. Between 2013 and 2020, he worked in the Economic
Department of the European Union at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Poland, covering issues such
as EU trade and investment policy and Brexit; in 2020, as a counsellor in the Chancellery of the Prime
Minister of Poland; in 2021, back in the MFA, covering energy diplomacy in the Department of
Economic Cooperation. Since 2022 the Head of Economic Section at the Embassy of Poland in
Karol graduated from the Warsaw University (international relations) and the SGH Warsaw School of
Economics (finances). He has PhD in Political Sciences since 2016 (Warsaw University).

Read Bio Jacek Kubas is a Head of Digital Hub at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. Digital Hub advises on digital projects and pilots innovative structures and ideas for the Bank’s clients, including in the field of cybersecurity. Jacek is a New York qualified attorney. He graduated from the University of Gdansk School of Law, he obtained an LL.M. in financial services from Chicago Kent College of Law and a postgraduate degree in international trade from the European Institute of University Studies in Turin, Italy.  He is an alumnus of the Leadership Academy at the Chatham House in London and Executive Leadership Programme at Stanford University in California.

Rafal Owczarek is Head of Trade and Investment UK & Ireland at the Polish Investment and Trade Agency. Based in London, he leads a team of experts responsible for developing export, supporting businesses, and growing foreign direct investment in Poland and in the UK.

An international trade expert, he had previously established and was Head of UK Overseas Business Network Initiative (OBNI) at the British Malaysian Chamber of Commerce (BMCC) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The initiative was launched globally by UK Department for International Trade (DIT) to transform the support available for UK SMEs seeking to do business in high-growth, hard-to-access overseas markets.


Prior to moving to Southeast Asia, he had worked as Public Relations and Trade Officer at the Arab British Chamber of Commerce (ABCC) in London, where he was involved in developing trade and investment between the UK and the Arab world.


Rafal holds an MA in International Liaison from the University of Westminster, BA in Arabic and Middle Eastern Studies from the University of Leeds and BA in International Relations from Lodz University of Social Sciences.

Today Peter is the Chief Procurement Officer, Head of Fleet and Group Property at Centrica the owner of British Gas where he has spent the last 4 years developing the supply chain experimenting with the Digital Core, and adopting AI Models

In 2024 Peter will retire from Centrica and focus on supporting companies to adopt AI and inspire large corporations

Kamila is a co-founder and the CEO of Untrite - AI startup that empowers private and public service teams like the UK Police with data visibility for real-time Decision Intelligence. From blue light to manufacturing industries, our AI tools: Untrite X and Untrite Thrive help save resources in mission critical situations.   

Kamila is a vivid advocate for use of innovative AI technologies. She supports diversity and initiatives empowering women in technology; she co-founded NGO Girls in Tech London and Poland. The local chapter has an active member base of more than 9 000 people, with more than 125 000 globally.
Kamila's past life includes working as a Management Consultant with a focus on banking, where she was involved in digital transformation projects (such as Santander's £1.65bn worth project Rainbow).
Kamila is a frequent speaker on the subject of humanising work with use of AI. Her latest talks include those for BigDataLDN, Rasa, Future of AI and Women in AI.
She blogs about failures in business lessons on and on instagram @_hankka.
She hosts a podcast on AI, called “Are You Human”, where together with her guests, they are discussing different angles of applying AI to the world's toughest problems.

Christian is a member of UK Parliament's APPG-Blockchain and APPG-AI, House of Lords led by Lord Tim Clement Jones and Stephen Metcalfe MP. He was educated at UCL (BA, M.Sc., Ph.D.). He is regularly booked as a speaker or panellist, or asked to write articles, on the future and impact of new technologies, the ethics and regulation of AI in particular.

Seeing his book 'Blockchain Impact!' cited during a US Congressional session in 2023.
"UK Blockchain Influencer 2021" (APPG Blockchain Annual Report - UK Parliament).
Advising UK Parliament and UK Police where blockchain and AI are concerned. Including giving the 2020 UK Senior Investigating Officers' Blockchain Masterclass in Birmingham.
Global Ambassador of two blockchain technology companies (2017-2020), leading one - PUBLIQ - to win a blockchain showcase UK parliament competition (2019).

Christian lives in London and is a Fellow of both the Linnean Society and the Royal Society of Arts (UK). He is also a member of the Royal Society of St George and Commander of the Companionate of Merit of the Order of St Lazarus of Jerusalem.

Currently working on regional devolution, her background includes tech policy, working within Parliament to coordinate communication with Government backbenchers and the Department of Trade, and running political campaigns for the then-Chancellor. She holds two degrees from the University of Warwick, with research into political participation and membership, and has written for outlets including CapX, CityAm and The Critic on topics as diverse as immigration, future of work, and startup policy.
